Paper 1

1. 1. Taylor came in 2 questions.
   
2. 2. dror's policy model's limitation was asked + one 60 marker on public policy's outcome & cost.
3. 3. paper was quite legthy.
4. 4. NPM (60m) NPA (20M) both were asked.
5. 5. PERT-CPM was asked
6. 6. woman self help group : 60 marks question
   

paper 2

1. no single 60 marker question instead there were two 30X2 type questions.
2. paper was easy in terms of questions-conventional questions

• law order: 19th century rules in 21st cent.
• FM's role,
• frequent transfer of Officers,
• 2nd ARC's report on civil service reform,
• grivance redressal,
• chief Secretary vs cabinet Secretary etc.

3.no conventional questions from polity (regarding Governer , President , CM,CAG, parliament  etc.)
4. for DA question they asked to give an example of a state's governance vs Development
6. administrative adjudication + delegated legislation not asked
7. PRI wasn't asked much
8. no direct q? on disaster  Management  or e-Governce or RTI.

unlike G/S, in both papers, nothing was really tough but it was hard to finish it in 3 hours.

1. conventional history questions not asked
they gave 3 statements and wanted you to commment on it. also the conventional 5 Freedom movement related 2 markers were absent.

2. there wasn't much from polity except from 'voting behavior of indians'

3. the routine computer terminology of 10 marks : absent

4. people thought they'd ask Chandrayaan but they asked Hubble telescope

5. paper -2- many questions on biotech/bioinformatics/ DNA finger print etc etc + 1 conventional question on nanotech.

6. statistic: 2 graph questions - rest stuff was easy as well

7. emphasis on international relation
(both in G/s paper 2 + Essay paper: in GS there were 3 essays that had direct relevence to international relation of india.)

8. in geography it was conventional stuff: wetlands & ecosys, biodiversity etc. people thought they'd ask in detail about monsoon mechanism/ drought/famine but they didnot.
instead there was one question on Meteorological dept.'s work.

9. previous years they'd ask 2 markers / 5 markers 'defination /terminologies' from Economy- they didnot do it this time. instead they asked straight 30 marks question - do you think we should stop liberalization after meltdown?

the reason people are saying tough paper because it didnot have the conventional 260 Marks worth Polity +History+Economy combo.
and because nothing that coaching classes considered as imp. was asked.
instead they asked Q? on sports, Television, current affairs. the 2 markers were also unique compared to previous trend.

this time UPSC shattered the claims of coaching classes. Nothing that those classes thought to be 'important' was asked in the exam!
i.e. no woman reservation, judges transparency, women resevation in panchayat, NREGA, moonsoon, draught, famine etc. etc.  - not in G/S not in Essay.

don't post any questions- I'm busy till 31st October.
